Refund Policy

Last updated: February 1, 2025

When Do I Expire (“we,” “our,” or “us”) offers subscriptions and in-app purchases through the Apple App Store (iOS) and Google Play Store (Android). Refunds for those purchases are handled by Apple or Google in accordance with their respective policies. This page explains how refunds work and where to request them.

1. Who Processes Refunds

All payments for When Do I Expire subscriptions and in-app purchases are processed by Apple (for iOS) or Google (for Android). We do not collect or store your payment details and cannot issue refunds directly. Refund eligibility and decisions are made by Apple or Google according to their policies and applicable law.

2. Subscriptions and Cancellation

Cancelling a subscription stops future charges but does not refund amounts already paid. You keep access until the end of the current billing period.

  • iOS (Apple): Open Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions (or Settings → Subscriptions), select When Do I Expire, and choose Cancel Subscription.
  • Android (Google Play): Open Google Play Store → Menu → Subscriptions, select When Do I Expire, and choose Cancel subscription.

If you want a refund for a charge you have already paid, you must request it through Apple or Google as described below.

3. How to Request a Refund

Apple App Store (iOS)

To request a refund for a purchase or subscription made on an iPhone or iPad:

  • Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, and follow the steps to report a problem and request a refund for the relevant purchase.
  • You can also use the link in the purchase confirmation email from Apple, or open the App Store app, go to your account, and find “Purchase History” to report a problem with a specific purchase.

Apple reviews each request and decides whether a refund is granted. Their decision is final. Refund eligibility may vary by country or region and is subject to consumer protection laws. For more information, see Apple’s support page on requesting refunds for App Store purchases.

Google Play (Android)

To request a refund for a purchase or subscription made on Android:

  • Within a short period after purchase (e.g. within 48 hours in many cases): You may be able to request a refund directly in the Google Play Store. Open Google Play Store → Menu → Order history, find the purchase, and follow the option to request a refund if available.
  • After that period: Google may direct you to contact the developer. You can contact us at the email below. We cannot issue refunds ourselves, but we can help with account or access issues and, where applicable, may be able to escalate to Google in accordance with their processes. Refunds for Google Play purchases are ultimately subject to Google’s refund policy and eligibility rules.

Google’s policies and time limits (including any 48-hour or similar window) may vary by region. For full details, see Google Play’s help on refunds and on apps, games, and in-app purchases.

4. Our Role

We do not process payments or refunds. We receive only the information needed to provide your subscription or purchase (e.g. that your subscription is active). If you have questions about your account, access, or billing that we can help with, contact us. For refund requests and payment issues, you must use Apple’s or Google’s procedures above.
